2018-19 Chromebook Deployment at PCEP

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is pleased to continue our 1-to-1 device program with the distribution of district Chromebooks to students for the 2018-2019 school year.

Please review the following information to better understand our deployment plans.

All 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students are eligible to take home a district Chromebook for their use during the 2018-19 school year.

Issuance is contingent on the student and parent/guardian

1) electronically initialing the online Chromebook User agreement,

2) meeting a liability requirement

and, 3) having no outstanding technology debt

Deployment Details:
Students in 73 classes identified by P-CEP principals are to go to Canton High School, room 182, during their class’ assigned date and class period to pickup, if choosing to participate, a district Chromebook at an assigned date between 9/10/18 and 9/21/18. Students (in those classes) and their families were notified by email as to their class' assigned date and period. See below for those dates and classes:

For the 2018/19 school year, P-CEP students, not in the above classes, are to sign up for a time to check out a Chromebook either during their lunch OR after school using the form linked below. PLEASE NOTE: Issuance will take place at Canton High School in room 182 (back hallway).


DO NOT COMPLETE THE FORM BELOW IF...

  • one of your classes is scheduled to check out Chromebooks (Email notifications were sent on 9/8/18), OR

  • you participated in the summer take home program, OR

  • you are NOT a P-CEP student.

Before completing the form linked below, students and their families must have...

  • reviewed, agreed to, and initialed the online Chromebook User Agreement (it was one of the Back-to-School registration forms),

  • met a liability requirement (non-refundable insurance premium OR refundable deposit), and

  • cleared any/all outstanding technology-related debts

In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements above, students must also 1) bring their student IDs to Chromebook pickup and 2) arrive just before their allotted time.


Each student’s eligibility to check out a Chromebook will be checked following the submission of the form. If a student is eligible to check out a Chromebook, the student’s district email account will be emailed a confirmation of the date, time, and location for pickup. If the student is not eligible to check out a Chromebook, an email will be sent with information on what still needs to complete in order to check out a Chromebook.


PLEASE NOTE: If a student receives notification that he or she is not eligible to checkout a Chromebook, the student must address the eligibility requirements outlined in the email he or she receives PRIOR TO the scheduled pickup date. If the student does not meet the eligibility requirements by the scheduled pickup time, he or she will not receive a Chromebook and will have to sign up for a new pickup time.
