The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Board of Education passed a limited Schools of Choice resolution Tuesday, February 12, opening up a minimum of one seat for kindergarten through eighth grade with a maximum of 250 seats for the 2019-20 school year. For the third consecutive year, the district will enroll students through the school of choice provisions in Section 105 and 105c, which means that families from Wayne County and all surrounding counties (Washtenaw, Macomb, Oakland, Monroe) are welcome to apply.

As part of the resolution, and similar to last year, the District will first open a one-time intra-district (for resident P-CCS students) transfer application process to begin March 11. Similar to School of Choice placements, intra-district transfers will only be available for open seats; however, they will be considered before School of Choice placements are made. The application can be found here.

The online School of Choice application window will be open from Wednesday, March 13 to Friday, April 12 and can be found by CLICKING HERE. All applications will be considered after the April 12 deadline. The actual number of School of Choice students enrolled into P-CCS from outside of the District will depend on availability.

Applicants that are siblings of current P-CCS School of Choice students will be given sibling preference according to state law, as long as the applicant is a student entering Kindergarten through 8th grade for the 2019-20 school year.

Like previous School of Choice programs, this addition will not displace any current resident P-CCS students.

More details and important dates regarding the application process for both the intra-district process and the limited School of Choice program for non-resident families will be available in the near future at the official Plymouth-Canton Schools website found at, as well as all of the District’s social media outlets.
