The Word at Bird is New Principal George Hill II
- School NameCommunications Department
George Hill knows how to lead a school building. The former Wayne County Teacher-of-the-Year earned his stripes in the classroom for many years before becoming a principal and board office Instructional Evaluator. Hill’s experiences, and knowledge of curriculum, made him the perfect choice as the new principal at Bird Elementary School.
Hill has been a vocal and instrumental music teacher in Ecorse Public Schools, a teacher and administrator for the District of Columbia Public Schools and Assistant Principal and Principal in the Hamtramck Public Schools. He also has studied and lead various school initiatives that focus on improving the student experience.
In addition to his work experiences, Hill has been a longtime student of education, including earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Olivet College, and continuing his education with a Master’s Degree in K-12 Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University.
Please join us in welcoming George Hill to the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools family.
