2017 Elementary & Middle School Summer Academy

Elementary and Middle School Summer Academy is a 20 day intensive academic support program designed to meet the needs of students currently in grades 1-8 who are struggling in both math and/ or language arts.  Summer Academy does not have an enrichment component.

During the second week of May, building principals or counselors will be sending registration forms inviting eligible students to participate in Summer Academy.  We will enroll students with invitations on a first-come, first-served basis until grade-level capacity is reached.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your student’s principal or counselor.  

Program Details:

Location: East Middle School

Dates: July 17, 2017 - August 17, 2017

Tuition: Regular Tuition - $250.00.  

  Currently qualified for free/reduced lunch - $150.00.  

Transportation: Routes will be limited, but transportation will be available.  Information will be sent to families closer to the start of the program.


  • Monday - Thursday

    • Grades 6 - 9 (grade student will be in next year 2017-2018 school year)  (staff time 7:45 - 11:15)

      • Arrival 7:45

      • Breakfast & Class Meeting 7:45 - 8:00*

      • 8:00 - 11:00 Instruction

      • 11:00 - 11:15 Dismissal & Bus Departure**

    • Grades 2 - 5 (grade student will be in next year 2017-2018 school year) (staff time 8:15 - 11:45)

      • Arrival 8:15

      • Breakfast & Class Meeting 8:15 - 8:30*

      • 8:30 - 11:30 Instruction

      • 11:30 - 11:45 Dismissal & Bus Departure**

* a light grab & go breakfast will be available for 15 minutes prior to instruction.  Students will bring breakfast to their first classroom upon arrival.

** times may be adjusted slightly to meet transportation needs

Families who have a student invited to attend the Summer Academy Program may pay their deposit and tuition fees here. A $25.00, non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration.  The remaining tuition must be paid on or before June 16, 2017.  Some students may be eligible for additional tuition reduction.  Please contact your building principal if additional financial support is needed.
