The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Board of Education elected new officers Tuesday, July 11, during its regular meeting in the E.J. McClendon Educational Center in Plymouth. Kate Borninski was named new Board President, replacing Kim Crouch, who accepted the Vice President post. Patrick Kehoe will remain as Treasurer for a second consecutive year, while Patty McCoin will serve as the Board's new Secretary. Anupam Chugh Sidhu, who served as Secretary during 2017, joins Doug Brooks and Patricia Mullen as Trustees. All officers were voted to their new positions unanimously.
Borninski, who was elected to the board in 2014 (her term is 2015-2020), previously served as Board Secretary and Vice President and has been part of the Policy, CLP, and SPA Subcommittees as well as the Educational Excellence Foundation Board. Borninski is a P-CCS parent and regular volunteer, previously holding leadership positions with several parent organizations, including the P-CCS Parent Council.
All officer positions will serve through the 2017-2018 school year.
"President Crouch has done a phenomenal job during these past couple years of leading the board, and I hope to continue the positive momentum that she has helped accomplish,” said Borninski. “We will all work together to make sure that P-CCS continues to be a place where all students can achieve and have a complete educational experience."
Thanks to all board members for their service to P-CCS students, staff, and community.
