Dodson Elementary Back to School New and Information
The Dodson Elementary School Office will be closed the last week of June and all of July. The office will have limited hours beginning August 5th. Please email email@example.com or call 734-981-8053 with any school concerns or to schedule a registration appointment. The building secretary will contact you at her earliest convenience.

Our annual Open House will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 5:30-7 p.m. Dodson families are invited to visit their children’s classrooms and meet the Dodson Staff. Parents will also be able to obtain more information on volunteering, Food Service, the Dodson Parent Council, Girl/Boy Scouting and other activities.
Class assignments will be emailed the last week of August. If you do not receive an email, we will have lists available at Open House or contact the school office on Thursday, August 29.
Tuesday, September 3, 2019, is the fist day of school for students. It is a half-day.
First bell rings at 8:43 and students must be in their seats at 8:48. HALF-DAY DISMISSAL TIME HAS BEEN SET AT 11:53 a.m. (Regular school day dismissal time is 3:55 p.m.)
We encourage all students who will ride the bus during the year to ride on the fist day. Parents are invited to meet students at school to be sure they go to the correct door. School staff will be outside to assist students.
Suggested School Supplies:
Teachers have created a list of sugggested school supplies for the Fall. Please access the lists below by clicking on the associated link. These supplies are optional but we encourage you to purchase items for your child.
Bus information will be mailed or emailed to your home by the District’s transportation office in late August. Please contact the transportation department at 734-416-3033 with questions.
Families interested in purchasing breakfast/lunch for their child should refer to the district website for menus and prices. Families who are eligible for free/reduced breakfast/lunch benefits should download the application and drop it by the school cafeteria when school starts.
