How do I register?

You may register in-person @ Starkweather, Mon-Fri 10 a.m.-1 p.m. now until August 27 at Starkweather Academy or call if you want to register online.


Where is the placement test?

The placement test will be at Starkweather Academy from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on August 14 and August 28.


What is the placement test?

The placement test is an online test.  It will test your listening and reading skills.  


Why do I have to take the placement test?

The placement test allows us to determine your best level to further support your learning.


How do I select my class?

After you take the placement test, your level will be provided and at that time, you may select your class.


What days will I have class?

You will have class 2 days a week with additional days for tutor support.


How much will the program cost?

You will pay $25 deposit for registration only.  If you complete the program, your $25 will be refunded to you.


What if I am a current student?

If you are a current student, you will be required to complete the registration form and pay the $25 deposit..  


If I am a current student, do I have to take the placement test?

If you took the post test in May we can use that score.


What materials will I receive?

All students will receive any textbook and course related materials.


How many hours am I required to attend class?

You are required to complete 45 hours per semester and attendance is mandatory and will be taken daily.


(ESL Testing takes approximately 3 hours to complete)

ESL Registration Information:

Specific course schedule will be based upon test scores and class availability. 

We will maintain a waiting list if there are cancellations, but applicants must test to remain on the waiting list.

  • Only students who are registered in advance may test.
  • During periods of open registration prospective students can come to the office at Starkweather to fill out registration forms and information. 
  • A$25 REFUNDABLE fee is required to reserve your place in the class.
  • Please note:  Deposits must be cash (exact amount) or certified checkNo personal checks will be accepted.
