Registration Information:

Specific course schedule will be based upon test scores and class availability.

We will maintain a waiting list if there are cancellations,
but applicants must test to remain on the waiting list.

  • Only students who are registered in advance may test.
  • During periods of open registration, prospective students may come to the office at Starkweather to fill out registration forms and information. 
  • A $25 REFUNDABLE fee is required to reserve your place in the class.
    • Deposits must be cash (exact amount) or certified check.  No personal checks will be accepted.


Second Semester 2018-2019 English as a Second Language Program

Registration for Second semester English as a Second Language classes for adults is now available.

Classes are two times a week for 2 hours and are offered during the day or evening.
A placement test will be given to determine class level.

Register in person at Starkweather Academy, registration fee $25 (cash or check payable to P-CCS)

Adult Day Classes

Register by January 13, 2019.
Placement test is January 14 at Starkweather Academy
First Day of class is January 15

Placement test is January 28 at Miller Elementary School (address)

Frequently asked questions

What is the placement test?
The placement test is an online or paper/pencil test.  It will test your listening and reading skills.

Why do I have to take the placement test?
The placement test allows us to determine your best level to further support your learning. (ESL Testing takes approximately 2 hours to complete)

How do I select my class?
After you take the placement test, your level will be provided and at that time, you may select your class.

What days will I have class?
You will have class 2 days a week with additional days for tutor support.

How much will the program cost?
You will pay $25 (cash, exact amount or check payable to PCCS) deposit for registration only.  If you complete the program, your $25 can be refunded to you upon request.

What if I am a current student?
If you are a current student, you will be required to complete the registration form and pay the $25 deposit.

If I am a current student, do I have to take the placement test?
If you took the post test in May we can use that score.

What materials will I receive?
All students will receive any textbook and course related materials.

How many hours am I required to attend class?
You are required to complete 40 hours per semester and attendance is mandatory and will be taken daily.
