Our highly qualified teaching staff, with extensive experience and advanced degrees, ensures that students excel in core subjects like Reading, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. P-CCS students consistently outperform national and state averages, reflecting our commitment to high-quality education. Programs such as Advanced Placement (AP) and Talented and Gifted (TAG) serve over 2,000 high school students and 650 elementary and middle school students, while a 1:1 technology initiative fosters digital literacy and innovation across all grade levels.

Recognition & Achievements

Our district takes pride in its students, staff, and programs that continually earn local, state, and national recognition. Recent accolades include Gallimore Elementary being named a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School, and Canton High School earning a place on the College Board AP Honor Roll. Students have achieved national championships in robotics, culinary arts, and broadcasting, while our student radio station, 88.1 the Park, has won multiple awards. Superintendent Dr. Monica L. Merritt was also honored as Michigan’s 2023 Superintendent of the Year. These achievements reflect the dedication, talent, and excellence of our entire learning community.

Payton Kitchen

"P-CCS has prepared me for my future by providing academic challenges and opportunities for hands-on learning through diverse class subjects. I have had the opportunity to manage the school store and engage in marketing curriculum. The supportive staff and administrators have been pillars to my personality and leadership skills."

- Payton plans to pursue a degree in International Business with a minor in Political Science.

"P-CCS has prepared me for my future. All of my classes and teachers throughout my education at P-CEP have helped push me to become the best student and friend I can be. I have created many memories throughout my time, and it makes me excited for my next chapter."

"P-CCS has encouraged me to approach learning with an open mind, regardless of the subject's level of difficulty. P-CEP teachers have taught me about the importance of asking questions. Ultimately, I will continue to apply the problem solving skills I have learned at P-CCS as I navigate through the rest of my academic career."

- Hannah plans to pursue the pre-med path at the University of Michigan with the goal of becoming a physician.

Devin Pickett

"From my first day within the district, I have encountered teachers who have actively encouraged my creativity. From my 5th grade teacher letting me record a song with his equipment to my current choir teacher believing in my ability to act, sing, and express my genius. The adults at P-CCS have guided and given me resources to realize my goals."

"P-CCS, especially P-CEP, has greatly prepared me for attending college this fall. With classes in three different buildings and the opportunity to take a wide variety of classes, I feel more prepared for college than most incoming freshman ever will."
