P-CEP American Literature
Teaching students during the quarantine doesn’t have to be complicated. While there is a great deal of technology available, effective teachers make their decisions based on what will help the student best understand their lessons. Plymouth-Canton Educational Park English Language Arts teacher Gretchen Miller is proving this point with her classes.
After having students create their own motivational speeches, Miller's American Literature sections have been studying inspirational speeches online and reading poems about loneliness, fear, and hope. Currently they are creating poem illustrations like this one on Robert Frost's Birches: https://spark.adobe.com/page/uyyTkyjaGoTcx/
The class also works on grammar using interactive lessons like this one created with a slide presentation: Sentence Fragments Lesson (Google Slides)
Miller is just one example of the many fine teachers at P-CEP delivering outstanding instruction during difficult times.
