Clothing Bank

MS-hallway

Mission Statement:
The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Clothing Bank provides FREE clothing to families demonstrating financial need. Our goal is to provide the children in need in our school district with clothing that is similar to the apparel of their peers at school.

The P-CCS Clothing Bank has served the community since 1976. It was started by school board member, Flossie Tonda, and administered by the Plymouth Community PTO Council. It is now managed by volunteers with support through the the Plymouth-Canton Educational Foundation and tax deductible donations by community members.

Who is eligible to receive clothing?
Families and individuals in the community demonstrating financial need are eligible for free clothing.

Students and families can be referred by any school staff member. Members of the community can be referred by a local agency such as the Salvation Army, United Way, a church or other agencies that deal with human welfare services. Clients with referrals must make an appointment by calling the Clothing Bank telephone number (734) 416-6179. They do not take drop-in clients.

For an appointment, contact pccsclothingbank@gmail.com.

The Clothing Bank is now accepting donations

Clothing must be clean, gently used, and in current fashion. Our goal is to provide clothing that will allow the student to look like his/her peers. Ask yourself, "Would my child wear this?" If not, please send those items to another charity. We currently are in need of:

What to Donate
The Clothing Bank accepts all clothing but particularly needs blue jeans, sneakers, coats, children’s boots, adult size socks, and extra large adult clothing. Community groups that wish to hold a clothing drive should request a list of needed items.

Monetary donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. The Clothing Bank is a part of the Plymouth Canton Educational Foundation (PCEF).  The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.  You can make a monetary donation to the P-CCS Clothing Bank in two ways:
