We strive to ensure that every student has access to nutritious meals that support their academic performance, physical health, and overall well-being.

We work collaboratively with schools, families, and community partners to continuously improve our menu offerings and create a positive dining experience for everyone.

About Food & Nutrition

Mission Statement

We believe that children who learn to make healthy food choices and be physically active at school will continue these habits into adulthood.

A wider variety of fruits and vegetables, including dark green and orange vegetables, dry beans and peas, and fresh fruits
Frequent use of whole‐grain products
Low‐fat or fat‐free milk

Special Diet / Food Allergy Information

Meal Accommodations: If your child has a food allergy or medical condition that requires a modification to the menu, signed documentation by a licensed medical professional (physician, physician’s assistant, nurse practitioner) must indicate the following:
- Food or allergen to be avoided
- Explanation of how exposure to the food or allergen would affect the student
- Food(s) to be substituted
The required documentation is called the “Special Diet Statement” and is available at this link: Special Diet Statement Form. Completed forms can be returned to the school nurse and emailed to the registered dietitian at healthy.meals@pccsk12.com.

The Special Diet Statement does not need to be updated annually if the information still accurately reflects the student’s needs. Update the school and appropriate staff on any changes in your child’s plan of care or diagnosis (e.g. if your child has a new allergy or outgrows an allergy).

Students can receive One Breakfast Meal and One Lunch Meal at NO CHARGE daily. If a student purchases an additional à la carte item(s) the student will be charged for the item(s).

Cost of Adult Meals-Adult Breakfast is $3.25 and an Adult Lunch is $5.50.

Nutrition Services Meal Charging Policy - The purpose of having a meal charging policy is to establish consistent clear meal account procedures throughout the district. There is a fine line between considering the fiscal integrity of the district and the solvency of the food service program while also meeting the nutritional needs of students.

How to Create a MyPaymentsPlus Account

Go to www.MyPaymentsPlus.com

Click Register a Free Account.

Step 1: Add your student/patron to the account

Select your state and school/school district from the dropdowns. 2.
Enter your child's student ID number and last name.
1. Student ID numbers may usually be obtained by contacting your student's school.
2. If your child's last name has a suffix, please keep this in mind when entering the last name. Ex. "Smith Jr.," "Smith IV," or "Smith‐Arnold."
Select Add Student.
If you wish to add another student, repeat step 1.
Click Next.

Step 2: Create your profile

Enter your name, address, and phone number.
Enter an active e‐mail address. It's important to enter a correct address so that you can receive e‐mail reminders, username/password information, and payment confirmations.
Click Next.

Step 3: Create your sign‐in

Choose a Username that will be easy for you to remember.
Enter a 7‐20 character password. Keep in mind that your password is case sensitive. (1 number and 1 letter required).
Enter a password hint to help you remember your password.
Click Next.

Step 4: Confirm your profile

Verify that all information you entered is correct.
If you need to change any of the information, you can click on the Edit link next to each section title.
Click Next.

Step 5: Your registration is complete

Click Next.
Sign in by entering the username/password you created in Step 1.

How do I make a Payment?

Go to www.MyPaymentsPlus.com.

Sign in by entering your username/password.
Scroll down from the homepage or select Make a Payment.
Cafeteria Payments: Add money to an account by entering your desired payment amount into the Payment field for each student/patron. The amount you entered will automatically reflect in the Meals Subtotal Amount. Tip: You may have the option to designate how your child's funds will be spent. Place funds into the "meal" account to allow purchase of one‐plated meals. Add funds to the "general" account to allow purchase of meals as well as a la carte items.
Other Payments: You may pay for other items in addition to cafeteria payments in a single transaction. Choose your category and check the appropriate Pay checkboxes next to the items you wish to pay for.
Select Continue Payment.
Confirm that your payment amounts to each account are correct.
Choose your payment method by using selecting it from the dropdown:
Enter your credit card/checking information. Tip: You can save this account information to a secure wallet profile so that you won't be required to re‐enter it each time you make a payment. This payment method will become a stored option, available to you for future use.
Select Continue Payment.
Review the final screen to verify that everything has been entered correctly, and

Education and Nutrition Benefits

Many of our schools have qualified as Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). This means that if your student(s) attend a CEP school, a slightly different application/form may be used in place of the traditional Education & Nutrition Benefits Application (Formerly Free & Reduced). Please use this Which Form Should I Fill Out Guide to determine which form is right for your family. The form does have the direct links to the proper application based on where your child(ren) attends at the bottom of the columns.

We encourage ALL families to submit applications. This helps state and federal agencies determine if our schools are eligible for extra funding and grants based on the data collected.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE EDUCATION AND NUTRITION BENEFITS APPLICATION (Formerly Free & Reduced)

Families are highly encouraged to complete the Education and Nutrition Benefits application.

Families that receive an approved eligibility for the Education and Nutrition Benefits are eligible for additional benefits:

BREAKFAST - FUEL YOUR DAY THE SMART WAY!

The School Breakfast Program is available to all students every weekday morning. School breakfast makes sense - it provides 25% of your child's daily nutritional needs and meets dietary guidelines and recommendations.

Breakfast Served Daily. Check with your school for the time and location of breakfast. All P-CCS students qualify to receive a breakfast at no charge daily due to the Michigan School Meals Program for the 2024-25 school year.

Applications are available online now for several Aide and Sub positions.

Aides-Are assigned at one location and work a set number of hours each school day.
Subs-Are contacted to sub when there is a school that needs staff for the day. Subs have a more flexible day to day schedule.
