A Message from the Superintendent: Spring Highlights & District Success

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Globally Focused. Locally Connected.

Dear P-CCS Students and Families,

When I was younger, time seemed to move slowly, but now each day feels as though it passes at the speed of light. This has been another wonderful school year, and it is hard to believe we are already approaching spring break. Once we return, we will begin the busy and exciting stretch toward the end of the school year and graduation.

As we approach this milestone, I want to highlight the many accomplishments across our district and reaffirm that our faculty and staff work every day to provide a world-class education for the students of this great community.

One exciting development is our recently announced partnership with orsa credit union (formerly Community Financial). The district has entered into a 25-year, $5 million partnership that includes the naming of our new Innovation Hub, now called The Orsa Hub, where students from kindergarten through 12th grade will explore science and technology, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, skilled trades, and more.

The Hub will also serve as a gathering place for students, educators, and community partners to collaborate, share ideas, and solve real-world problems. We hope this partnership is the first of many that bring the knowledge, expertise, and resources of local businesses directly into our classrooms, creating a win-win for both our students and our community.

Across the district, students and schools continue to achieve remarkable success. Gallimore Elementary has been recognized as Michigan’s top elementary school for the third consecutive year, reflecting the dedication of its educators, students, and families in fostering an environment where every child can thrive. At the high school level, 22 P-CCS students have been named National Merit Scholarship Finalists, highlighting the strength of our curriculum and commitment to student success.
