Jennifer Curry Named P-CCS’ New Chief Academic Officer

The image shows a smiling woman with blonde hair wearing a blue and white patterned scarf, against a bright blue background with yellow polka dots.

The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Board of Education approved the appointment of Jennifer Curry as the district’s new Chief Academic Officer at its meeting on July 15. Filling such a critical role is no easy task, but Curry brings the qualifications, experience, and leadership necessary to guide the district’s academic programs in the years ahead.

Curry joins P-CCS from the Wayne-Westland Community School District, where she has spent her entire career. Most recently, she served as Interim Superintendent for the 2024–25 school year. She began her career with the district in 1999 as an elementary school teacher and has since held various leadership roles, including Title I Math Consultant, Principal at Hoover and Graham Elementary Schools, and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.

Curry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master of Teaching degree, both from Madonna University.

Please join us in welcoming Jennifer Curry to the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools.
