Julie Nicastri Named Assistant Principal at Liberty Middle School

 

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is pleased to announce Julie Nicastri as the new Assistant Principal at Liberty Middle School. With more than two decades of educational experience, she brings a deep commitment to student success, staff collaboration, and community engagement. Since joining Liberty in 2018, she has served as a middle school science teacher and, most recently, as the Dean of Student Support. 

Nicastri began her career in education at KinderCare Learning Center, eventually serving as Regional Trainer and Center Director before transitioning to public education in 2004. She spent 14 years in the Wayne-Westland Community School District, teaching a variety of subjects, including science, social studies, and computer skills. Throughout her career, she has taken on numerous leadership roles, such as PBIS Coordinator, Science Department Head, District Science Curriculum Team member, and School Improvement Team member, while also coaching boys and girls basketball for over a decade.

Nicastri earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Saginaw Valley State University & Eastern Michigan University, with endorsements in Science and Social Studies, and later obtained her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in Ann Arbor. She is also a graduate of Canton High School.
