Student Creativity to Take Center Stage at P-CCS K-12 Art Show
STUDENT CREATIVITY TO TAKE CENTER STAGE AT P-CCS K–12 ART SHOW
CANTON, MI — Plymouth-Canton Community Schools (P-CCS) will transform Salem High School into a gallery of student creativity on Saturday, May 16, when it hosts its annual K–12 Art Show.
The show brings together families, educators, and community members to celebrate the power of arts education and artwork created by students across the district.
Pieces in the show are carefully selected by P-CCS art teachers, representing a wide range of grade levels, styles, and artistic voices. All featured works will also be entered into a grade-level competition recognizing student achievement.
“The art show is more than an exhibition—it’s a celebration of the creativity, dedication, and growth of our students,” said Cathie Williams, P-CCS Curriculum Coordinator for K–12 Electives & Specials. “It highlights both the incredible talent of our young artists and the strength of the arts education opportunities available throughout our district. We’re proud of every student whose work was selected and grateful for the passionate educators who help make this possible every day.”
The event goes beyond a traditional gallery experience. Throughout the show, high school artists will present live demonstrations in a variety of disciplines including drawing, painting, photography, and others —offering guests a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process in action.
The show will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and an awards ceremony will cap off the day from 3:30 to 4 p.m.
Admission includes a suggested donation of $5 to $10 per family, with all proceeds supporting P-CCS art programs and future student showcases.
