Isbister Families,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year!  Isbister is a great place to ‘BEE’!

My name is Emily Hawthorne and I'm honored to be the Principal here at Isbister Elementary School.  Throughout my educational career, I've had an opportunity to be a student, elementary and middle school classroom teacher, Intervention Specialist, Upper Elementary and Elementary Principal.   In each of these roles, I've found that it's the community that is built around a child that can have the greatest impact on achievement and success.  As a P-CCS K-12 graduate and Plymouth resident, I take pride in working with our families to grow the future of our community and world.

Isbister Elementary is outstanding in many ways.  Our dedicated staff truly values the relationships we build with our families and our greater community.  We all work together to build a culture of learning that is a safe, positive, and nurturing and we maintain the highest expectations for our children and ourselves.  We are a team of dedicated learners, continuously improving ourselves to provide the best possible learning experience and engaging curriculum for your child.  Last year, we celebrated 50 years of learning opportunities at Isbister, since doors opened in 1968.

Isbister’s dedicated PTO volunteers their time and energy to provide incredible experiences for our Isbister families.   Our biggest fundraising event this year will be our Color Run, which will take place late fall and is an experience every Isbister child can participate in.   Please visit the Isbister PTO page to the left and see how you can get involved.

Our entire staff can’t wait to welcome you back on Wednesday, August 28th from 5:30-7 PM for Open House.

I look forward to a successful school year ahead.

Your Partner in Education,

Emily Hawthorne, Principal
