PLEASE NOTE, THE LAST DAY OF NEW CHROMEBOOK ISSUANCE FOR THE CURRENT 2019-2020 school year IS/WAS WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 2020.  Device request submissions submitted on or after that date will NOT be processed.  This page is being left up for possible updating in late August as the new school year is about to begin. Thank you for your understanding. 

 

Dear P-CCS Family,

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is preparing to issue district Chromebooks to families WHO CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE A COMPUTER OR TABLET at home that can be used to access educational content. Please note that the district only has a limited number of devices available and will only be able to offer ONE non-touchscreen Chromebook PER FAMILY at this time, regardless of the number or age of students in the household.

Please have only one member of your family complete the form linked below by Monday, May 18 at 11:59 pm if your family does not otherwise have a device and is requesting a district Chromebook be issued to them. Further instructions will be provided to those families that complete this form and meet the above criteria.

IN ADDITION TO COMPLETING THIS FORM, you must 1) initial the Chromebook User Agreement and 2) meet the district's liability requirements for the student you will identify in the form linked above.

  1. Review and initial the P-CCS Student Chromebook User Agreement in Parent Portal (http://links.pccsk12.com/PP) for the student you will identify in this form. For help, view this video, which is also linked on the Parent Portal login page: https://www.youtube.com/embed/3ASikwM9vYc
  2. The student you identify in this form must meet the district's liability requirements (NON-REFUNDABLE insurance coverage or REFUNDABLE deposit), if your family is able to do so at this time. Please use one of the links below to pay for insurance coverage or deposit. You may review the Chromebook User Agreement for additional information about these liability options.

    If you cannot purchase insurance at this time, based on your individual financial situation, you may request a temporary waiver of the insurance premium or deposit payment in the liability section of this form.

    Please note that due to the additional time needed to process, families requesting a temporary waiver will not receive a device during the first round of issuance. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause.

MAY 2020 ANNOUNCEMENT: Please note, ALL P-CCS students with district issued Chromebooks returning to the district for the 2020-2021 school year are permitted to retain their district issued Chromebooks over the 2020 summer.
